Biography

Reid joined SMITH | ROBINSON as an Associate Attorney in August 2026.

Reid has a strong familiarity with Smith Robinson, having worked at the firm for several years as a Project Assistant and later as a Law Clerk.

Before joining the firm as an attorney, Reid clerked for the Honorable Blake A. Hewitt on the South Carolina Court of Appeals, where he gained invaluable experience developing research and writing skills and learned how to effectively present legal issues.

Reid earned his Juris Doctor, magna cum laude, from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 2024 and was inducted into the Order of the Coif and the Order of the Wig and Robe. While in law school, Reid served as a Production Editor for the ABA Real Property, Trust, and Estate Journal, and was a student member of the John Belton O’Neall Inn of Court. Reid also received CALI Awards in Legal Research and Writing II and Problems in Professional Responsibility.

He earned his Bachelor of Arts in English from Sewanee: The University of the South in 2020, where he was a four-year member of the Men’s Varsity Soccer team, and was inducted into the Order of the Gown Honor Society.

Outside his law practice, Reid enjoys spending time with his wife and family, playing soccer and is avid fan of Gamecock athletics.
