South Carolina Super Lawyers honors six with SMITH | ROBINSON law firm

Six attorneys at SMITH | ROBINSON law firm are being honored by South Carolina Super Lawyers in the rating service’s 2026 lists.
Two were named to the main Super Lawyers list:
- Michael A. Graham, of the firm’s Columbia office, focuses his commercial transactions practice on real estate and businesses, including purchases, sales, financing, leasing, and restructuring. He is a published author, speaker, and decorated combat veteran, currently serving as a colonel in the U.S. Army Reserve.
- Murrell Smith Jr. is a co-founder of the firm. His Sumter-based practice focuses on a variety of areas including civil litigation, medical malpractice defense, insurance defense, and appellate litigation. He is the current speaker of the South Carolina House of Representatives, serving in that capacity since 2022.
Meanwhile, four with the firm were named this year to Super Lawyers’ “Rising Stars” list, which recognizes outstanding lawyers who are younger than 40, or who have been practicing for 10 years or less.
- Fred Hanna, of the Columbia office, has a broad civil litigation practice focusing primarily on complex business disputes and appellate advocacy.
- Rachel E. Lee, also in Columbia, concentrates her practice in the areas of appellate practice, commercial litigation and white collar defense.
- Shanon N. Peake of Columbia focuses on her appellate practice, along with commercial litigation, insurance defense, general litigation and local counsel services.
- Austin Reed also does appellate work out of Columbia, along with commercial litigation, local counsel services, medical malpractice defense and tort claims act litigation.
